Trinity Community Ministries currently seeks to fill the following positions:

Executive Director

This position is accountable to the Board of Directors for the following management duties:

  • Develops short range plans and strategies which support the mission and strategic plan of TCM. Works closely with Board to accomplish the goals, objectives and TCMs strategic plan.
  • Measurement of performance to TCM goals and standards and establishes targets for improvement.
  • Oversees and manages daily operation of TCM. Presides at regular staff meetings; recruits, hires, trains, supports, and disciplines personnel as required to accomplish the mission of goals of TCM. Forms task groups as necessary.
  • Exercises fiduciary responsibilities of TCM; directs preparation of annual budget and recommends appropriate revisions; monitors and reports on operating costs within functional areas and alerts Board of cost and labor over runs; Manages operating budget, overseeing accounting, assuring adherence with grant requirements.
  • Assure compliance with contracts, grants, laws, regulations, licenses,
  • Develop and maintain internal / external lines of communication to facilitate TCMs goals and objectives
  • Represents and promotes the views and interests of TCM with churches, community groups, volunteers, governmental entities, constituent organizations, etc.
  • Oversees development, marketing, and public relation activities

    Complexity and Scope of Responsibility:

    This position requires the incumbent to consistently exercise good judgment in interpreting the intent and guidelines of policies from a variety of sources. Further, the position requires the incumbent to deal with largely undefined problems, issues, and parameters requiring excellent problem solving skills. The ability to manage multiple demands and task simultaneously while maintaining effectiveness in all areas is critical. Lastly the position requires frequent contact with key decision makers in the community, some of whom may not be open or supportive of the work of TCM.

    Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in a Public Administration, Social Work, Human Resources
  • Management or related field, or equivalent experience; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years successful management /administrative experience required.
  • Experience in a human service agency of similar size preferred.
  • Three years supervisory experience in managing a staff.
  • Knowledge/experience in development (fund raising), marketing, public policy, or human resource management preferred.
  • Grants management preferred

    Skills/Knowledge
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to people living with addiction and poverty.
  • Strong leadership skills with a high level of integrity and ethics, initiative and creativity. Ability to create and maintain team environment to support Board, volunteers, and employees.
  • Strong management skills including project management, people skills, training, planning, budgeting and accounting; excellent written and verbal communication skills; (bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred). Ability to deal with difficult situations, decisions, and people implementing diplomatic approaches to conflict management. Ability to build skills of diverse employees
  • Dependability in attendance, punctuality, accuracy, performance standards, quality, quantity, and timelines. Embraces flexibility in hours, including evening and weekend
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with volunteer management and support preferred
  • An understanding of and sensitivity to TCMs statement of Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Strong, positive public image

    Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations
  • Typically sitting at desk, standing or walking
  • Occasionally lifting light objects up to 25 pounds
  • Most typically moderately quiet office space, occasional city driving, and in community settings
  • Frequent use of common office equipment
  • Drivers license and ready access to vehicle for regular use in TCM business
  • Evening and weekend work required
